Dear Friends,

Happy Spring! Miss Tesaa, The Elly Sienkiewicz Appliqué Academy finished its 19th year this February. We were overjoyed that so many friends could come - the new, the familiar, and all filled with gratitude. We were all so excited!  Williamsburg's James River-edge resort site was new to Tesaa and so beautiful. The Academicians were superb, the faculty excellent, the food, delicious, the entertainment so fine, the conference impeccably run and elegantly hostessed by staff and neighbor volunteers.

Since this time together was perfect - and fate at conference end determined that it cannot be repeated -Appliqué Academy 2014 has become Ms. Tesaa's last. The perfect ending at the perfect place! Of course closing is bittersweet for you and us and you are rightly curious: Miss Tesaa has been owned by Elly and administered, these past 16 of its 19 years, by Bette. An especially precious few have attended since the beginning to be joined by so many wonderful others.

At February Academy's end Bette retired, having just learned of her sister's critical need for  care. We, all pictured below, talked. Miss Tesaa's wonderful hostess team admitted the blessing of years was nudging them past her heavy behind-the-scenes work. Then, too, Elly needed to shed Tesaa and teaching  to bring first Spoken Without a Word, 30th Anniversary Edition to press and fulfill other commitments. We all loved our jobs and You, "The Academicians", our friends.

Probably for you as well as us, Miss Tesaa had become a wellspring of warmth in this vast universe we call home. Her focused studies gave us a common bond. Her joy, and now such happy memories of you uplift us. You had brought TESAA to life. Oh, the Albums! Forthrightly, Album sisters of long ago inscribed the plea, "Remember me." Miss Tesaa's mission was Art and Friendship. You gave us both. We will always Remember Thee.

      In fond friendship,

Elly,  Bette, and Tesaa Hostesses, too.
