Congratulations
to
Nancy Wells
Winner
of the 2008 Scholarship Challenge
Elly and I are proud to announce that Nancy Wells, Guelph, Ontario,
Canada has
been awarded a Scholarship Certificate in the amount of $500 to be used
toward 2009 tuition fees. We had 17 entries all of which addressed
the theme of "Remember Me" with
thoughtfulness, creativity, and heart.
Because each entry is an
original design, and the Academy is hoping to create an Academy pattern
book in the future, we will be unable to show all of the beautiful
blocks at this time. But, we did want you to see Linda's.
What amazed us all, I think, was the fact that all the blocks, although
a variation of a theme, blend perfectly together in style. Below
are the names of those who participated in the scholarship challenge in
